Route of the 4th stage of the Tour of Slovenia
On Saturday, 17 June, the 4th stage of the Tour of Slovenia, organised by the Slovenian Cycling Federation, will finish in the Soča Valley. The race, which has been a summer highlight for Slovenians and cycling enthusiasts around the world for 30 years, will again this year provide a cycling atmosphere in Slovenia and thus also in our valley, in Tolmin, Kolovrat and Kobarid.
A royal stage in the Soča Valley!
The start of the Royal Stage will be in Ljubljana, from where the cyclists will head to Medvode, through Škofja Loka, through Kladje to Cerkno and then into our valley, to Tolmin, where they will climb Kolovrat twice before the finish in Kobarid. The cyclists will have to ride a 165.6 km route, which will require a bit more preparation, as the double ascent of Kolovrat is one of the most challenging climbs in Slovenia. The fastest cyclists will ride through Tolmin shortly after 13.00, and are expected in Kobarid (in front of the Kulturni dom) around 14.30.
