Canyoning on the Sušec
Canyoning is like exploring a natural water park. Accompanied by qualified guides, adrenaline seekers jump off waterfalls several metres high, slide down natural waterslides and swim in the refreshing waters of the lively Sušec stream.
Location: The Sušec canyon is situated about 7 km out of Bovec towards Kobarid. Including the ascent to the canyon entry point, the trip takes 2-3 hours.
Canyoning on the Fratarica
In one of the most picturesque canyons in the Triglav National Park, at the foot of the majestic Loška stena, sports companies organise canyoning that includes the rope technique and sees participants descend waterfalls several dozen metres high. They include the famous Parabola waterfall.
Location: The canyon is situated some 12 km out of Bovec, in the direct vicinity of Log pod Mangartom. The use of the registration application is compulsory for canyoning in the Fratarica and Predelica gorges in Log pod Mangrtom. Canyoning on the Predelica
This includes rope descents down waterfalls several dozen metres high that fall into beautiful green and emerald pools. Accompanied by a qualified guide, the brave adventurers make their way along this wild canyon in the Triglav National Park. The canyoning concludes at the Mangartski potok stream.
Location: The canyon is situated in the vicinity of Predel, a former border crossing. Canyoning on the Globoški potok
Above the Učja Valley, the Natura 2000 protected area, you will find waterfalls on the sunny steep slopes which are tens of metres high and spring from the Southern side of the Kanin Mountains. The dizzying descents on the rope are particularly suitable for those canyoning fans who are in good shape. The canyoning trip to Globoški potok takes about 8 hours and is organised by sports agencies in the Soča Valley.
Canyoning – Pršjak
The waterfalls, among which Veliki Pršjak (27 m) is the most striking one, connect the green pools of the Pršjak Canyon in the Trebuša Valley. As one of the more easily accessible gorges of Trebuša, where the endemic Carniolan primrose (Primula carniolica) grows in the shadowy parts, it is part of the list of natural values of Slovenia. Organised canyoning takes 2-3 hours.
