A bicycle that can be ridden by eight people at the same time was built in 1980 in the village of Pečine on the Šentviška plateau. The idea came about during a meeting in the village pub, when the boys were thinking of an original way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their generation. This is the generation of seven boys and girls from the village of Pečine, who were born in 1950. They invented a bicycle that could be ridden by all eight members of the generation at the same time and managed to build it.

The 30th anniversary was celebrated with a full-day programme full of laughter and fun. The highlight of the event was a bicycle ride, which was anything but easy. The bike is 6.70 metres long and consists of a sawn-off NSU Pretis motorbike and parts from six classic bicycles.

After the bike had served its purpose, there were few opportunities to ride it. However, the inhabitants of Pečine are proud to keep this bike, which is probably the longest in Slovenia or even elsewhere, in good condition. They are also happy to show it off at the renowned cycling event, Giro d'Italia.
