We have noticed that there are a lot of questions among fans about the bike race Giro d'Italia.
We have noticed that there are a lot of questions among fans about the bike race. We have mentioned and answered some of these questions below.
- Can we cycle or walk to Kolovrat after the road closure?
YES, even after the road closure, it will be possible to walk or cycle along the route.
- Until when can I cycle on the route to Livek?
You will be able to access the race route up to one hour before the start of the GIRA-E electric bike race (until 12.30) or until the first police car drives along the route. At that time, everyone on the track will be withdrawn and no more vehicles will be allowed on the track.
- Is there an organised shuttle to Livek?
YES, it will be possible to get to Livek by bus on Friday at 9.00 and 10.00. Booking and purchase of tickets is only possible online.

- Can I go to Kolovrat by car after 9.00?
NO, a road closure is planned above the village of Volče at 9.00. After that time you can go to Kolovrat on foot or by bike. From Volče to the race route is 9 km.
- Can I go to Livek / Kolovrat / Žaga by motorbike after the closure?
NO, after the closure you can only access it on foot or by bike.
- Will it be possible to buy drinks and food along the route?
YES, there are three main venues along the route: Žaga, Kobarid, Livek. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at all three venues. Food will also be available at Kolovrat near the open-air museum.
- Will we be able to follow the whole 19th stage anywhere?
YES, there are three main venues along the route: Žaga, Kobarid, Livek, where the whole race will be broadcast on big screens, starting at 12.00. The race will also be commented by moderators.
- What is GIRO-E?
The Giro-E is an electric bicycle race which, in the last part, follows the route of the Giro. This year the start will be in Kobarid at 13.15. Filip Flisar, Ana Bucik, Matevž Melinc, Tanja Žakelj, Gregor Sobočan and Boris Premužič.
